“Corinne Morgan, Corbie” spring 2020 update

CMC Blog: Spring Update

It’s been a crazy couple of months in the world of Corinne Morgan, Corbie. Heck, it’s been a crazy couple of months in the world in general! No doubt everyone reading this has had their day-to-day lives altered in one way or another by the current pandemic. From my perspective, I continue to do my best to create content to keep you entertained through everything that’s going on. With that in mind, here’s your Spring 2020 Corbie update…

Every afternoon from 1400 – 1600 BST you can join us in the studio where Corinne Morgan, Corbie is created and see comic book art being created live! On recent streams we’ve covered pencilling, inking and lettering. Currently we’re editing and coloring a poster of the entire CMC cast in Clip Studio Paint. Viewers also get glimpses into upcoming projects before anyone else and learn secrets about the comic that haven’t been revealed previously! It all takes place at twitch.tv/johnportercmc – I look forward to welcoming you to the club!

Rather than managing two YouTube channels, I’m now posting all content on my personal channel. This includes simulcasts of all Club Corbie streams, so if you can’t watch on Twitch (or just prefer YouTube), you can follow along too! I try to keep an eye on chat across both platforms, so feel free to say hello wherever you’re watching. Also note that recent streams are archived on Twitch for a limited time, but a permanent archive and playlist will be available on YouTube.

The end of an era, but not the end of Corbie! The fourth CMC comic concluded our heroine’s first adventure, but life goes on, from the Morgan family’s Beverly Hills home of Stonydawn, to the unforgiving classrooms of Anna Dale Academy, to the hidden Irish palace of Tamiragh! How will Corinne deal with her father and grandmother’s attempts to track down the Mystical Sphere of the Badb – which she currently possesses? What will happen when Headmistress Cravin discovers the school supply room lies in ruins? And how will The I.C.’s defeat at the hands of Corbie affect their blood feud with Corinne and Sadie? All will be revealed in future CMC stories as the series takes on a new format. Look for more news soon.

Support your fave armored avian by purchasing some swish gear from the Corbie store! T-shirts, posters and even smartphone cases are just a few of the items available. More merch will be added in the near future, so keep an eye on our social media channels for further announcements, and also for the occasional flash sale or special limited time discount codes!

The CMC store isn’t the only way in which you can support Corbie. If you’d like to make a small donation, you can do so via Ko-Fi. Contributions from as low as £1 GBP – that’s currently about $1.20 in US dollars – unlock hi-res CMC pin-ups. Donors also get early access to Corbie comics ahead of their release on other platforms. We’re currently looking into the possibility of adding Patreon as an alternative for readers who would prefer that option.

As you can see, Corbie’s digital footprint continues to expand, and sometimes even I struggle to keep on top of it all (and if I’m being honest, I need to make a point of updating this website more often to keep everyone informed as to what’s happening)! Remember that the Corbie Twitter account is a great way to stay in the loop about all new developments regarding both the comic and our streaming schedule, and new art always appears on the CMC Instagram account as well. A huge thank you to everyone who’s supported Corbie so far – whether it’s through purchases on the store, donations, follows, subscriptions or likes, it all helps. We’re glad to have you as members of Corbie’s flock!
